We bring safe pregnancy education directly to mothers on the islands, helping them access antenatal care and deliver safely in health facilities.
Peer-led dialogue sessions give young people accurate information on HIV prevention, contraception, and their reproductive rights in a safe and open space.
We train women in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and income generating skills so they can build businesses and support their families.
Island communities are on the front line of environmental change. We run community awareness sessions on conservation, waste management, and sustainable livelihoods.
Clean water and good hygiene save lives. Our WASH sessions teach handwashing, safe water handling, menstrual health, and proper sanitation to hundreds of families.
Lasting change is only possible when communities own it. We partner with local leaders, women’s groups & youth to design & drive every program from within.
RAHI is a Ugandan NGO dedicated to improving the health and well being of families living on Bussi Island and the Lake Victoria islands. Seventy percent of all funds go directly to health programs and livelihoods training. We believe that transparent stewardship is the foundation of trust and long term partnership.
When you support RAHI, your contribution travels across the water to reach mothers who have never seen a midwife, young people who have never had an honest conversation about their health, and women who have never been told their ideas are worth investing in. Since 2025 we have reached 1,850 community members across the Lake Victoria islands. Every number in that count is a person whose life looks different because someone chose to help.
